Yá’át’ééh (Hello)

Welcome to my first-ever blog. It is 2024, a new year, or at least the end of the first month of the new year. With each new year comes new year’s resolutions, goals, and aspirations; but more importantly, it is a time for sihasin (hope and reflection).

I find myself considering new ways to express myself and new ways to exist on and offline. My recent use and views of social media, primarily Instagram, have inspired me to give into a desire, a curiosity, and a goal to start a blog on my website.

In truth, and for the past year, I’ve been yearning for land, light, and love. It is with this perspective, foundation, and awareness I’ve decided to publish a blog post each month for the remainder of the year. I view this as an act of self-care, meditation, and being. And so, sihasin, both the act of reflecting and the title of my blog, is a space for remembering, revitalizing, and respecting memories, stories, and teachings found within iiná (life).

Ahéhee’ adóó hágoóne’ (thank you and see you later).
